I. Call to Order
Kerry Doyle, Secretary, called the mrrting of the Himan Services Club to order at 2:11 pm on Thursday, September 28,
2006 in Founders Hall room 221.
In attendance were:
Paula Martin, Kerry Doyle, Gayla Barger, Lori Chinchilla, Lauren Doyle, Linda DeJesus, Pam Frymire, Richard Dixon, Thomas
Moody, and Faculty Advisor Dr. Kimberly Kennard-Lyke.
II. Approval of Agenda/Minutes
a. Minutes were approved
b. Agenda was approved
III. Reports
a. A report was given by ICC representative, Gayla Barger, about the point system. There were concerns
about how the points are distributed throughout the clubs as well as whether or not there is any compensation or incentive
for club members to volunteer at non-club events.
IV. Open Issues/ Old Business
a. Coat drive - Paula Martin is still waiting for further information from SWAA concerning coat drive.
b. Bulletin Board - Lauren Doyle will begin working on the bulletin board as well as flyers to advertise
both the club and upcoming events.
c. Human Service Awareness Day - Planning needs to begin for Human Service Awareness Day. This
event will be held in the spring of 2007.
d. Fundraising - The car wash has been changed from Saturday, October 14th to Sunday, October 15th.
It will take place at the AM - PM on 9th St. and Whitmore Ave in Ceres from 9 - 2. We still need volunteers for this event.
e. The HSC will not be co-hosting the Halloween Carnival with ASMJC
f. Habitat for Humanity - Paula Martin - We are still waiting for further information from Habitat
for Humanity about working with them.
V. New Business
a. Human Service Awareness Day Committee - We need to form a committee to begin the planning for this
event.
b. "Hyphy" Awareness Event - We have been discussing hosting an event to bring awareness to the community
about the bay areas "Hyphy Movement" .
c. HSC website - The club website has finally been published. We also have a blog where members
can communicate with one another.
VI. Actions Items
a. A motion was made by Linda DeJesus, and seconded by Kerry Doyle, to elect Pam Frymire treasurer
of the HSC. The motion was accepted by the membership.

President Martin Adjourned the meeting at 3:17 pm. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2006 in Founders
Hall, room 221 at 2:00pm.
